Deck stair lights – Many homeowners install vinyl components on their decks, attracted by prefabricated units and low-maintenance materials. Rope Lights, small bulbs encapsulated in waterproof and flexible vinyl tubes, are standard decorative ceiling lighting that creates a warm glow. Rope luminaries manufacturers include small plastic clips with packaging. These clips are bolted to the railing and the vinyl tube is set up. There are a few ways to install these lights on a vinyl ramp. If the lights are a permanent feature, attach the fasteners to the railing with screws.
If you do not want to mess up the rack with holes, leave the brackets in place and use flanges that secure the lights to the deck stair lights. And then, drill pilot holes in the vinyl ramp where the clips will be installed. For best results, place the clips on the outside of the ramp just below the guardrail area. Screw the clips with an inch and a half of self drilling stainless steel screws. Starting at one end, press the lights on the clips. The clips hold the tube and hold it tight.

Have an assistant extend part of the deck stair lights through the railing. For best results, place the light strings on the outside of the railing just below the surface of the railing. Sand a vinyl strap around the handrail portion of the handrail and the string lights. Insert the end of the cable management into the small mailbox and tighten. Continue attaching the lights, section by section, while your assistant extends the chain through the railing.
